ROTATING TUBE SYSTEM:
System conceived for the continuous disinfestation process of particularly sensitive seeds like pine-nuts. It is composed of a shielded reverberation chamber containing a slightly sloping tube into which seeds are irradiated. The rotating tube, enabling the easy passage of seeds from the input to the output, also favors their constant mixing by reducing the risk of seeds’ breakings and damages.
The device has a maximum productive capacity of 800 kg/hr with 36 kW microwave power. All process parameters (temperature, microwave power, speed) are constantly monitored by means of an electronic control and management system based on PLC logics and PID regulators.
