In the most serious cases,\u00a0<strong>losses<\/strong>\u00a0can reach up to 35-40% of the harvest.<\/p>\n<p>In the control of food insects and mites,\u00a0<strong>fumigants<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>insecticides<\/strong>\u00a0are often used. These chemical substances have a high cost of treatment and additionally\u00a0imply\u00a0serious disadvantages related to the possible persistence of toxic residues in treated products.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload aligncenter\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%27348%27%20height%3D%27106%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%20348%20106%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%27348%27%20height%3D%273106%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/emitech.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/my-food.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>represents the effective and sustainable solution in terms of costs and environment, for the microwave pest-control of agri-food products in the post-harvest phase.
